Ethical Hacking Reverse Engineering Malware
The training covers, in a hands-on manner, malware analysis and reverse engineering using real cases found in the national and worldwide landscape.
About the Course
A malware analyst examines malicious software, with the primary goal of understanding the nature of its threat and how to mitigate it. This task generally involves reverse engineering the malicious code and analyzing how the program interacts with its environment. In addition, the analyst may be asked to document the artifact’s attack capabilities, understand its propagation characteristics, create rules, or define signatures to detect its presence.
Companies with security products, the antivirus industry, or network intrusion prevention are hiring malware professionals and analysts in large numbers to develop ways to contain destructive activities of malicious code.
Large organizations and industries whose focus is not security can also hire full-time malware analysts to help protect their environment against attacks or as contributors to the incident response team. Malware analysis skills are also valued by companies that cannot justify hiring full-time staff for this work but want their security or IT administrators to be able to examine malicious software when needed.
This type of knowledge is useful for professionals working in incident response, forensic investigation, information security, and systems administration.
The training is hands-on, initially covering malware analysis at an introductory level and gradually progressing to the use of more complex tools and techniques. During classes, the content will be presented dynamically, and real cases of malware analyses found in the Brazilian and global landscape will be used.
